About
Overview
REDWHITE BONELESS RAMEN in Boston’s 02115 area delivers an innovative, fully plant-based take on traditional Japanese ramen. Founded by Kei, a ramen master from Tokyo, the restaurant’s focus is on authentic flavors crafted entirely from vegan ingredients, offering a unique alternative in a city known for its meat-based ramen shops.
Popular Dishes
- Red Hot Miso Ramen: A standout for its bold, spicy, and savory broth, this ramen features toppings such as corn, onion, arugula, sprouts, red pepper flakes, black sesame seeds, garlic oil, and soboro (a blend of soy meat and tofu). The “Signature” version is dramatically presented with a glass smoke dome, infusing the dish with a campfire-like aroma right before serving.
- Yuzu Sesame Ramen: This ramen combines the brightness of yuzu with sesame, crispy onions, corn, soboro, arugula, and garlic oil, resulting in a refreshing yet hearty bowl.
- Japanese Curry Ramen: A robust curry broth topped with corn, crispy onions, garlic oil, soboro, and sesame, delivering Japanese comfort food flavors in a vegan format.
- Truffle Salt Ramen: Enhanced with truffle oil, this bowl offers a luxurious twist on the restaurant’s signature plant-based combinations.
- Roasted Miso Avocado Roll: A creative appetizer featuring creamy avocado, crunchy onion chips, Japanese miso, and sesame seeds.
- Spicy Roasted Miso Avocado Roll: The same as above, but with a spicy kick from chili oil.
Nearly all broths and toppings are gluten-free, and gluten-free rice noodles are available upon request.
Dining Experience
The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, with dim lighting and a minimalist, modern Japanese aesthetic. The space is small, typically seating around ten tables, so the vibe is bustling and communal. Orders are placed at the counter, and service is quick and efficient. Presentation is a highlight, especially the “Signature” ramen with its smoke dome ritual, which adds a sensory element to the meal.

Went to @redwhiteramen the other day on Newbury St for lunch. They’re a vegan ramen joint. The sound of that may scare you away but the looks of it will make you come right back. The ramen was unbelievable!! The flavor was crazy. The broth is plant based. They have 3 locations, 2 in Cali, 1 in Boston. And I can see them opening up more as time goes on. The rest of the world needs to experience ramen like this. I’m a big meat eater so obviously I’m gonna think some beef or pork in there would make it better but wow was it great. The red hot miso was my choice. I like the spice. By the end of that bowl my face was red & I was sweating bullets. But I enjoyed every slurp & bite. Felicia got the garlic miso and that was just as amazing. The rolls were cool but I wasn’t in love. The rice was seasoned but ehhh, I’ll take the real sushi any day. Either way, come by Red White Boneless Ramen in Back Bay, experience something you’ve never experienced before. Be sure to let them know who sent you! • • #redwhite #foodiesofboston #bostonfood #yum #delicious #ramen #redwhitebonelessramen #bostonfoodies #foodiesofinsta #wdyets #datenight #newburyst #backbay #backbayfood #ilovefood #eatgood #japanesefood #sushi #vegan #eatvegan #bonelessramen
